Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Communications team in promptly addressing urgent media and executive requests, as well as handling other externally-facing data inquiries.
- Collect insights and data to enhance external storytelling efforts, presenting them clearly and succinctly.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and dedication to Airbnb’s mission of fostering belonging.
- Develop self-service tools as needed to streamline processes.
- Ensure accurate completion of data assignments within specified deadlines.
- Generate dynamic SQL queries for reproducible results.
- Design clear and user-friendly dashboards tailored for a non-technical audience.
- Simplify the presentation of findings for easy comprehension.
- Provide peer review for colleagues’ queries to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze data trends and identify storytelling opportunities.
- Attend critical meetings, with at least one evening session per week and potential increases during peak periods.
- Take ownership of events-related data to support Communications markets.
Eligibility Criteria:
Possession of industry experience and a quantitative degree (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).Preferred skills:
Demonstrated proficiency in SQL.
Hands-on expertise in Tableau, including the creation and maintenance of dashboards.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork with internal teams.
Capability to perform rigorous analysis and convey conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
